I will love thee, O LORD, my strength !!! ALELUYA...

Nehemiah 1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Psalm 18:1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

Psalm 40:16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

Psalm 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

The seed is God's message.

Luke 8:11-15 (New Living Translation)

11 "This is the meaning of the story: The seed is God's message.
12 The seed that fell on the hard path represents those who hear the message, but then the Devil comes and steals it away and prevents them from believing and being saved.
13 The rocky soil represents those who hear the message with joy. But like young plants in such soil, their roots don't go very deep. They believe for a while, but they wilt when the hot winds of testing blow.
14 The thorny ground represents those who hear and accept the message, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares and riches and pleasures of this life. And so they never grow into maturity.
15But the good soil represents honest, good-hearted people who hear God's message, cling to it, and steadily produce a huge harvest.
LET'S PRODUCE  HARVEST FOR THE GLORY OF GOD !!!

Wow God it is amazing !!!

Numbers 21:4-9 (New Living Translation)

4 Then the people of Israel set out from Mount Hor, taking the road to the Red Sea to go around the land of Edom. But the people grew impatient along the way,
5 and they began to murmur against God and Moses. "Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die here in the wilderness?" they complained. "There is nothing to eat here and nothing to drink. And we hate this wretched manna!"
6 So the LORD sent poisonous snakes among them, and many of them were bitten and died.
7 Then the people came to Moses and cried out, "We have sinned by speaking against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take away the snakes." So Moses prayed for the people.
8 Then the LORD told him, "Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to the top of a pole. Those who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!"
9 So Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to the top of a pole. Whenever those who were bitten looked at the bronze snake, they recovered!
MOSES POWERFUL PRAYER

Let us knowledge the Lord !!!

Hosea 6:3 (New International Version, ©2011)

 Let us acknowledge the LORD;
   let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
   he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
   like the spring rains that water the earth.”

“As the heavens are higher than the earth"

Isaiah 55:8-9 (The Message)

 "I don't think the way you think.
   The way you work isn't the way I work."
         God's Decree.
"For as the sky soars high above earth,
   so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
   and the way I think is beyond the way you think.
Just as rain and snow descend from the skies
   and don't go back until they've watered the earth,
Doing their work of making things grow and blossom,
   producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry,
So will the words that come out of my mouth
   not come back empty-handed.
They'll do the work I sent them to do,
   they'll complete the assignment I gave them.

I've followed him closely !!!

Job 23:10-11 (The Message)

"But he knows where I am and what I've done.
He can cross-examine me all he wants, and I'll pass the test
with honors.
I've followed him closely, my feet in his footprints,
not once swerving from his way.
I've obeyed every word he's spoken,
and not just obeyed his advice—
I've treasured it !!!

Hear my voice when I call, LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.

Psalm 27:5-7 (New International Version, ©2011)

5 For in the day of trouble
   he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
   and set me high upon a rock.
 6 Then my head will be exalted
   above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
   I will sing and make music to the LORD.
 7 Hear my voice when I call, LORD;
   be merciful to me and answer me.

Called to Get In & to Get Out !!!

Today's ReadingNumbers 17-19Mark 6:30-56

Today's Thoughts: Called to Get In & to Get Out

The Lord said to Abram, "Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you." Genesis 12:1

We hear sermons preached frequently about being called IN TO something but we do not often hear about being called OUT OF something. I wonder how many pastors that have fallen into temptation were told by God beforehand to leave the ministry? I am not saying that God knew they would end up in an affair but I am saying that disobedience does lead to multiple problems.

Think about it: Let's say that in God's still small voice, He said, "You need to leave your job." The person says, "What? This cannot be God's voice! I am doing great in my job. I just got a raise and I am now at the top of my field. God would never want me to do that." So you ignore the instruction. Next thing you know, you are out of a job.

Wouldn't it have been better to leave in faith than to be fired? Wouldn't it be better to quit out of obedience than to fall into disobedience?
Bobbye was telling me today that this exact scenario happened to her. She was not trained to hear the Lord yet but she knew God told her to quit her job over 12 years ago. She was at the top of her career and making a six-figure salary with lots of bonuses and perks. Bobbye ignored the voice of the Lord and ended up very sick...for a few years. After telling the Lord, "I give up..." her life began to change and healing began.

There are times that we just do not want to change course but it is through the change that God brings healing through new opportunities and new ways of thinking. I know that the Lord wants a change of course in me too.

I can kick and scream and make excuses but deep in my heart, I know what I need to do.  So, I prayed and asked God for confirmation. He led me to Abraham in Genesis 12:1:
The Lord had said to Abram, "Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you."
God told Abram to Get out. He was not in sin in his country but he would have ended up in sin by staying there. He had no direction or instruction of where to go.
He was just told to leave.

Many of us do not want to hear from the Lord because we are then accountable to do what He says. The door of obedience swings both ways...In To and Out Of.
Here we go...one step at a time!

We do not know what to pray !!!

Romans 8:26-28 (New International Version, ©2010)

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
We do not know what we ought to pray for,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit,
because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

God Anoints and Appoints !!!

Today's Reading: Numbers 15-16Mark 6:1-29
Today's Thoughts: God Anoints and Appoints
Now Korah..., with Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On..., took men and they rose up before Moses with some of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, representatives of the congregation, men of renown. They gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "You take too much upon yourselves, for all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?" Numbers 16:1-3 ...  Now it came to pass, as he [Moses] finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods. Numbers 16:31-32

Isn't it amazing what envy can do? Korah was extremely jealous of Moses and Aaron. Even though Korah complained and judged Moses and Aaron, he was really criticizing God. God was the One who anointed and appointed Moses and Aaron.

God was the one to also defend them. Korah's jealousy planted seeds of dissension among brothers, causing an entire community to suffer consequences because of the rebellion.
We need to remember today that it is God who anoints and appoints certain people to accomplish certain tasks. Some of us are anointed with gifts that stand out while others receive gifts that are more private (like intercessory prayer).

But the Spirit distributes different gifts for different callings to all types of people. For a variety of reasons, we become critical and jealous, leading to an attitude of arrogance and rebellion. Those bad seeds sow destructive fruit. People who eat that rotten fruit get sick and spread those destructive germs to many others.

I remember when the Lord first put on my heart the desire to teach. I would think thoughts like, "I would have taught that passage differently" and "I wonder why he/she didn't teach this part of the passage." I had a choice to sin with those thoughts or not.

Those thoughts could have become critical, but I had to take those thoughts captive or my mind could have led my mouth to sin against them. God was just giving me a new desire and a new gift, stirring my heart to see and hear things differently. I didn't know that at the time. My heart could have become like Korah's during that transition.

We need to be careful. God knows what He is doing. Be sure that you are found blameless before Him when it comes to your opinions about Christian leaders. God has placed them in those positions. If you are becoming critical or disrespectful in any way, you might miss out on a new and very special anointing. The test of time will tell...
