God choose the foolish to shame the strong !!!

1 Corinthians 1:27 (NIV).
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.......
Thoughts on This Verse...
The Cross is such an offensive symbol when viewed in its most basic and raw form. For God to become human flesh and live among us is unbelievable enough. For God to be subject to the vagaries and rigors of mortality and human needs is unthinkable.

For God to endure the indignities and inhumanities of the Cross is preposterous. But, that is the Gospel. What appears to be foolish, weak, and offensive has the power to re-make us and inspire us to unparalleled faith.

When we come to the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus, we come to the impossible which was accomplished by God's grace for us and in us. Only God would bring us salvation in such a way.

You Are Called by Name !!!

Today's Reading: Exodus 31-33Matthew 22:1-22

Today's Thoughts:
You Are Called by Name
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: "See, I have called by name Bezalel... And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab... and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all who are gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you" Exodus 31:1-6

YOu are powered by The creator of the Universe !!!

1 John 4:16 (NIV).
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.......
Thoughts on This Verse...
We can be sure that God loves us. He wants us to live in and be blessed by his love. That love is more than just the grace that reaches us when we are saved. God's love extends through us.

His love is redemptive in our loving behavior to others. His presence is seen in our loving attitudes and deeds. God wants his love to be shared by us to others. In this way, his love blesses us when we receive it and also when we share it!

Dad gracias en todo !!

Salmos 136:1-3 (Nueva Versión Internacional)

Salmos 136

Den gracias al Señor, porque él es bueno; su gran amor perdura para           siempre.
Den gracias al Dios de dioses; su gran amor perdura para siempre.
Den gracias al Señor omnipotente; su gran amor perdura para siempre.

Our God, it is sufficient !!!

Philippians 4:19 (NIV).
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.......
Thoughts on This Verse...
Throughout Scripture, God reminds us that if our trust is in him and if we share his blessings with others, he will make sure we have all that we need. How can we be sure?

Look at the confidence Jesus had in God!

The angel of the Lord be with YOu.

Luke 4:10 (New International Version, ©2010)

     For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you
   to guard you carefully;

Black & White,Angels

Delighting in HIS word !!!

Psalm 1:3 (NIV).
He [the one who delights in and meditates upon the Law of the Lord] is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.......
Thoughts on This Verse...
Some kinds of earthly delight can feed our hearts for a short time. However, when difficulties come, our hearts will wither in the drought of their false nourishment. On the other hand, delighting in the LORD and in his will for us provides us with ongoing and ever-fresh joy.
Out of this God-seeking lifestyle come both short-term and long-term benefits as well as a resiliency that withstands life's worst droughts.

THE PROMISE OF THE COVENANT WILL NEVER BE BROKEN !!!

When you are in need, cry out to God. Declare your covenant relationship with Him through Christ. Fix your eyes on Jesus, not on your need. Refuse to entombed by your circumstances because you are in covenant with the resurrection and the Life.
Rejoice in everything (Philippians 4:4) Your deliverance is on the way !!!

PRAYER:
Jesus you are my bondage breaker, you have repaired every breach.
You are my bridge over my circumstance to your deliverance.
Help me to rejoice always, fixing my eyes on You, Amen..

Awake out of Sleep !!!

Today's Reading: Exodus 25-26Matthew 20:17-34
Today's Thoughts: Awake out of Sleep
And [do] this, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation [is] nearer than when we believed.  Romans 13:11
We are living in perilous times as Christians. Our freedoms are being threatened in more ways than any of us can fully grasp. The enemy is roaming about, seeking whom he may devour, and we are definitely his targets. But, his schemes are not always so blatant and clearly discerned. The greatest threat to us from the enemy is allowing ourselves to become complacent and operating on auto-pilot.

We lose our passions to witness, our urgency for the lost to be saved, and even our first love, as Jesus talks about in Revelation chapter 3. But, it is not too late to wake up.

Today, our salvation is nearer than we first believed. Today is a day closer to the return of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Today could be the last day for us here on earth. Do we live with such a sense of urgency? Or, do we act as they did in the days of Noah? Noah preached for over 100 years as he built the ark.

He warned the people of the day that was coming, a day of total destruction. But, the people did not listen and they carried on with their lives, even up until the rain started to fall and the door of the ark was shut. At what point did they wake up? It was too late.

Let us not wait until it is too late. Let us look to the Lord today and ask Him to stir us like never before and to give us a sense of urgency and passion.
Let's pray this prayer together: Heavenly Father, I confess that I have allowed complacency into my life as a Christian. I have allowed life's comforts a place of priority, even over helping others. I know that I need to be awakened and stirred to see things through Your eyes and to have Your heart in these last days. Please fill me with Your Spirit this day and jolt my heart with a new awareness of the reality of these days I am living in. Please, Lord, make the rest of my days here on earth count for the kingdom of God. In Jesus name, Amen.

''Abba Father '

Romans 8:15 (NIV).
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ''Abba, Father.''......
Thoughts on This Verse...
How revolutionary. Just as Jesus prayed to God addressing him as''Abba Father,'' we too can speak so frankly and openly with God.''Ab-ba'' are some of the earliest syllables babies spoke.

The word''Abba'' was used by very young children to speak intimately, respectfully, and openly with their earthly fathers. The Holy Spirit gives us that same privilege as God's children.

We can call the Creator of the universe, the Great God of Israel, the Father of all peoples, the Almighty of eternity, Abba! Incredible.

The Father of the universe lives in my church !!!

1 John 4:12 (NIV).
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.......
Thoughts on This Verse...
What an incredible thought! God can be seen in my home. The Father of the universe lives in my church.
The Almighty God's love is recognizable in my life. How so? When I love those around me, when they love me back, when we choose to be loving instead of petty, unforgiving, critical, and harsh, God's presence, power, and perfection are revealed in us!

Little by Little

Today's Reading
Exodus 23-24; Matthew 20:1-16
Today's Thoughts: Little by Little
Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land. Exodus 23:30
In Chapter 23, God grants the Israelites various promises, including utterly overthrowing and completely cutting off their enemies. The Lord further states that He will bless their bread and water and take their sicknesses away. With the Lord on their side, the Israelites cannot lose.

But in verse 30, the Lord says that He will fulfill His promises by driving out their enemies little by little. Why? Why doesn't God just wipe their enemies out like He did the Egyptians as they entered the Red Sea? What benefit is there to do it little by little?
Exodus 23:29 says "I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the beast of the field become too numerous for you." In other words, a place of instant abundance and blessings would be harmful for the Israelites.

Blessings are not true blessings unless they come when we are able to handle them. Think of areas in your life that you would love to see the Lord work in you today. Maybe you need deliverance from sin that seems to have trapped you or maybe it is your finances. The list can go on and on.

God wants to deliver you and bless you, but He will only give you what you can handle. God knows what is best for us. Even the blessings can become curses if we do not have the wisdom, maturity and honesty to handle them.

The Lord's timing is never too late nor too slow. He is patient and kind, assessing the whole situation, so that when He fulfills His promises in you, you will be able to receive them in peace. We want the quick fix or the instant gratification.

We want the immediate and the miraculous.
However, God's ways are not our ways and He desires to give us a future life in His promises.
Little by little, complete victory will be yours by having faith and patience day by day.
